(10:15)Keynote2: AI & Frontier Tech as a force for good – building a responsible AI future, lucratively.

The world of AI is upon us, at scale, bringing with it the usual challenges of emerging/frontier tech. Amit has been building & investing in responsible AI foundations for over 2 decades now, and will lay out the perils we face, the opportunities of a sustainable AI, climate impact and justice, especially around bias in AI models and the Global South, with a blueprint on building a future that is truly self-sovereign for each of us - requiring a serious rethink of how AI is built, used, governed & monetized.

This talk by Amit introduces the idea and necessity of self-sovereignty in a world that now runs on AI as its “foundational model”, and shows how it can work for each of us, including for some of the planet’s most vulnerable populations. As someone who sits on the board of the Norwegian Refugee Council, he understands the implications first hand.

(10:45)Fireside Chat: Welcoming the Next Million Impact Investors from Asia

Asia's rising wealth, now estimated at around USD 140 trillion, continues to propel economic growth while providing a degree of resilience against global financial market volatility. A crucial question emerges: "Are we sufficiently mobilizing capital to build more sustainable and equitable societies?" While Asian cultures have long held a deep commitment to environmental and community health, these actions may not have been explicitly labeled as "impact investment." What tools and mindsets can we rediscover from our traditions to catalyze more private capital towards impactful initiatives? This will be explored by three distinguished impact investors in the region

Speakers: Michael Au (Chair of Board, Toniic, Hong Kong), Royston Braganza (CEO, Grameen Impact / Chair, Indian Impact Investor Council, India), Fumi Sugeno (Chief of Impact Economy Lab at Japan Social Innovation and Investment Foundation, United States), Doug Lee (CEO, D3 Jubilee Partners)

(13:30)Track1: Decarbonizing Heavy Industry

Manufacturing has been a basis for Asia's economic growth and development. Yet with industry making up almost 30% of global GHG emissions, industrial decarbonization has been identified as a priority to limit global temperature rise to 1.5C. However, as decarbonization solutions are currently under development along with other existing market and structural challenges, industrial sectors are also known as the hard-to-abate sectors. This session aims to delve into the challenges that need to be overcome to decarbonize industry and the opportunities that financing, technology, market and policy can present.

Speakers: Yasunori Takeuchi (CEO, Corporate Action Japan, Japan), Will Lee (Head of Startup Ecosystem, Amazon Web Services, South Korea)
